José Antônio Belquior Gomes

I've been writing software for over 10 years, almost all of it in the financial world: credit cards, open banking, payment networks, and investment funds. I started out as a graphic designer (Adobe & Corel — I still love them), became a developer in 2015, and grew from migrating legacy VB6 systems to designing real-time, high-volume transaction platforms.

Today I work remotely for Ravn, a US-based company and official Anthropic partner, exploring cutting-edge technology — including agentic AI, which earned me the partner-exclusive Claude Certified Architect certification. I care deeply about data modeling, service integrity, and making slow things fast (my favorite: turning a 5-hour process into 3 minutes).

    • Rewrote an undocumented legacy invoicing routine (SQL Server + NestJS), cutting processing time by 99% — from 5 hours to 3 minutes.
    • Built an enterprise accounting data platform for the group's investment fund (NestJS + PostgreSQL), automating millions of records — solving in 6 months what had been open for 2.5 years.
    • Led development of the merchant acquisition tool for the private-label card network (NestJS, React, SQL Server) — 80k+ merchants accepted across Brazil.
    • Designed the core transaction authorization system for a nationwide private-label credit card: credit limits, fraud prevention, and real-time approvals at high volume.
